With already one of the widest 4K HDR HDBaseT extender offerings available, we've launched the new EXF-300-H2 extender at a point where the alignment of fiber technology and market demand sees optical cable and modules cheaper and easier to terminate than ever. 

As such, fiber now offers both residential and commercial applications a truly viable option for sending the latest 4K HDMI content over distances previously unreachable by copper transmission, and with the added benefit of immunity to EM and RF interference.

As with all WyreStorm solutions carrying an H2 product number, the EXF-300-H2 supports HDCP 2.2 encryption, 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 video content, and HDR-10, enabling full compatibility with the latest 4K HDMI source content at 2160p 60Hz 4:4:4 or RGB.  

But whereas HDBaseT distributes such content up to 70m/230ft, the duplex OM3 multimode optical transmission on the EXF-300-H2 enables reliable, completely lossless delivery up to 300m/984ft.

Boasting a low-profile chassis and additional 5V USB power adaptor for added install convenience at display points, the EXF-300-H2 passes IR or RS-232 signals bidirectionally, with control method easily selectable via the front panel on both RX and TX.  

A key benefit fiber transmission has over copper lies in its immunity to electromagnetic or radio frequency interference. The OM3 multimode optical transmissionused in the EXF-300-H2 offers clear advantages in industrial or commercial applications, where both distance and susceptibility to airborne interference, such as from HVAC and 3-phase electrical systems within a building, can be a negative factor in high bandwidth video delivery.

Furthermore, in residential applications where HDBaseT limitations restrict delivery of 4K/60 4:4:4, HFR (High Frame rate) or HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) content to 70m/230ft, the OM3 fiber transmission of the EXF-300-H2 enables such content to be sent over greater distance to multiple floors or annexes, or external buildings such as pool or guest houses up to 300m/984ft.

Transmissions can be further lengthened by using the EXF-300-H2 with WyreStorm 18Gbps Active Optical HDMI cables.  Additionally, combining with a WyreStorm 4K splitter, such as the
SP-0208-HDBT-H2, or any WyreStorm matrix switcher carrying an H2 product number, enables multiple 18Gbps HDMI content to be extended far beyond HDBaseT transmission capabilities.

Manchester Watches Football Coming Home

Football is in the blood in Manchester, England, and this years World Cup has set pulses racing like never before.
