Job Description
As a Transport Planner at Exertis Benelux, you are responsible for organizing, coordinating, and optimizing all outgoing transport, both national and international. Whether it involves our own fleet (16 company vehicles) or external carriers, you ensure our goods reach the customer correctly, on time, and cost-effectively. You work closely with drivers, internal departments, and the warehouse and act as the main point of contact for all transport planning matters.
The Role:
- Creating efficient route plans and transport schedules;
- Coordinating national and international transport;
- Guiding and supporting drivers in their daily tasks;
- Aligning with carriers, internal departments, and logistics colleagues;
- Managing the vehicle fleet and liaising with leasing companies;
- Handling transport documents, permits, and administrative processing;
- Identifying and resolving delays, shortages, and other transport issues;
- Reporting damages to the insurer and following up on escalations
We are looking for someone with:
- MBO+/Bachelor level of working and thinking, preferably in logistics or transport;
- At least 2 years of experience as a transport planner or in a similar role;
- You speak and write Dutch fluently and have a good command of at least one foreign language (preferably English or German);
- You are stress-resistant, communicative, and solution-oriented;
- You work accurately, independently, and can easily switch between tasks.
