New TH-55VF1H LCD display creates flexible and reliable video walls

Panasonic’s new 55” TH-55VF1H frees businesses to create visual experiences that stretch beyond the traditional limits of a display frame. An ultra-narrow, near-invisible bezel (1.8mm)  creates stunning video walls with  spectacular large-format images.

High-resolution IPS panel ensures that pictures displayed on screen remain clearly visible, even when viewed from oblique angles. So the TH-55VF1H is perfect for signage applications, as well as in control rooms where clear visibility is necessary at all times. Add in an anti-glare layer and you have an ideal solution for retail and public signage settings.

Panasonic shortlisted for InAVation Awards

Organised by InAVate magazine in conjunction with ISE, the InAVation Awards are a major event on the AV industry calendar, held on the first evening of ISE in Amsterdam. And the 2017 awards see Panasonic shortlisted in a number of categories.

The AF1 Series is a finalist in the ‘Technology for Digital Signage (Display)’ category. A standalone digital signage solution, it features built-in System-On-a-Chip and Android-based OpenPort PLATFORM™ technology to allow organisations to create and run custom apps for specialised signage applications.

Also up for an award is the PT-RZ31K projector, Panasonic’s brightest large venue laser projector at 31,000 lumens. Incorporating the company’s proprietary SOLID SHINE technology, the projector is designed for 20,000 hours of maintenance free operation and offers an extremely reliable foundation for impressive large-scale light shows and 3D mapping.

Finally, Panasonic’s BF1 Series is also nominated. The interactive touchscreen display series operates completely PC-less and gives users the ability to interact and work with a wide array of media formats. 12-point multi-touch allows whole groups to make notes on the display simultaneously bringing interactivity and engagement to presentations, seminars and meetings.

To win the awards, we need your help! You’ll find information on how to place your vote here >>

AV event brings the past to life

With sales of business and industrial products representing more than 70% of our revenue, Panasonic is about far more than Lumix cameras and Viera TVs.

To showcase our capabilities in the B2B arena, we invited 15 journalists from across Europe to Moesgaard and Faengslet Prison museums in Denmark, where they were given demonstrations of our powerful AV technology.

“The visit was fantastic opportunity to see the technology in situ,” explained Robert Clymo from T3 Magazine. “It’s transformed the way museums operate.”

The solutions weren’t restricted to museums, however. The journalists were also given an insight into projection and displays applications for education, and rental and staging settings.

Creating an out-of-this-world experience at the Fondation Cartier

Located in Paris' 14th arrondissement, the Fondation Cartier is a centre for contemporary art with 12,000 square feet of exhibition space. 'The Great Animal Orchestra' is the most recent exhibition at the museum.

Panasonic's audio visual technology is used to create slide show diaporamas and engaging projections alongside photographs and paintings displayed on canvas.

In the central room of the exhibition, five Full HD TH-49LF80 and three 4K Panasonic TH-84LQ70 high-brightness professional displays are used to showcase the work of Japanese photographer Manabu Miyazaki, and the video collection of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Exhibited for the first time outside Japan, visitors can see wild animals and humans sharing the same environment in the ultra high resolutions afforded by the 84" 4K Panasonic displays.

We also recommended seven PT-DZ780 projectors, which are used to display an absorbing 40m image across three walls using edge-blending functionality. Using a D3 Media Server, the visualisation is created and displayed in real time as the soundscapes are played out, creating an incredibly immersive experience, thanks to the powerful colour rendering and high brightness of the PT-DZ780 projector array.

Panasonic displays are right on trend at London Fashion Week

Breakthrough fashion designer Paula Knorr has used the high brightness and fantastic colour reproduction of Panasonic LCD displays to her advantage at London Fashion Week as she exhibited her spring/summer collection in a special installation supported by the British Fashion Council.

The British Fashion Council gave the space and financial support to enable Knorr to set up an installation at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Pall Mall, where four 55" Panasonic LCD displays, two TH-55LF8s and two TH-55LF80s, were used to show the video vignettes. As part of the installation the displays were encased in specially constructed boxes, establishing red as the theme colour.

"Because the displays had matt screens, they conveyed the characteristics of the rough texture of the materials a lot better than a glossier display. They helped create exactly the kind of effect that I wanted,” explained Knorr.

Congratulations to award-winning partners!

We’re sending our congratulations to Frankfurt-based event lighting specialist bright!, who won a Red Dot Award for Communication Design for their project ‘United in Diversity’. In other good news, Denmark’s distinctive Moesgaard Museum also deserves congratulations, as it won trade magazine Monitor’s Industry Award for its innovative use of Panasonic Visual Systems in their Roman gladiator exhibition.

Well done to both!
